Ive been using Sidi shoes & speedplays for over 10 years. Love them. Only drawbacks: 1. at century say stops & off bike nature breaks stay out of soft soil or mud. the cleats clog & you have to use your water bottle to wash them out to re-engage. 2. If you put your foot down a lot for traffic signals etc. the metal plate & phillips screw heads wear down & have to be replaced. I've tried covering them with tape goo etc. but so far nothing has worked to protect them.
