The fastest electric bike of 2012 (and ever) is the Specialized Turbo eBike. At least, that’s what Specialized says. However, there might be a dispute on which one is the fastest.
I’m not a big fan of those bikes, but when I saw the article at gizmag.com, it got my attention.
The eBike comes with a 250-watt Specialized Turbo Direct Drive rear hub motor. It features also a lithium-ion battery mounted in the down tube, which gives 432Wh. Total full power and speed of 28mph…which is illegal in some countries
