Years ago some company made a nice looking and somewhat easy to walk in, canvas show that hearkened to a pair of US KEDS. The sole was stiff and it fit easily into your traps. They had no hardware on them at all. There were reasonably priced for the day. I have big feet, size 13 USA. I have not been able to find any show without hardware or special peddles that will fit into my traps with my feet in the shoes.I go on trails that are mostly usually destroyed by hogs in the back, back, back of central western Florida. I need to be able to remove my feet quickly but I like the traps because they are a service in the underbrush. I do still get stopped dead by vines sometimes.Any suggestions on low tech bike shoes. Maybe commuter bike shoes that are not boutique expensive. It isn't that money is a problem it is that I have friends who have come to cycling later in life and it is as if they bought a Harley Davidson with all accessorizing they do. I just ride, alone mostly because I perfer it that way. Thanks in advance.KC O'DunnHolistic Wellness Examinerhttp://www.examiner.com/x-2382-Tampa-Holistic-Wellness-ExaminerPEACE
