Santini Kines Windbreaker Jacket
Since autumn is well on his way with its cloudy and rainy weather and winter is right around the corner, today I decided to write about Santini’s Kines Windbreaker jacket, an item of clothing that I’ve been using a lot lately since I’ve been riding my bike under rainy and windy conditions.
The jacket is 100% polyester and is pretty light. I usually use it over my thermal under vest and when its colder over my arm warmers and so to having a light jacket is important to keep the total weight of your clothing as low as possible without sacrificing temperature.
One thing that always bothers me when using wind and water proof jackets is that most of them make me sweaty. Although I sweated a lot while using the Kines Windbreaker I found that I didn’t overheat as much as used to do with other jackets I used before, which is possibly due to the mesh that jacket has under the arms and along the sides.
It also does a good job at being waterproof and windproof, which is perhaps what is really meant to do.

When I used it under the rain my body was always dry even when it poured a little stronger than usual, and the wind was always kept at bay.
The jacket features an always useful back pocket and a reversed antiwet impressive zipper. It also has a waist gripper that prevents any water to get in through the waist and features silicon borders.
It comes in two colors: black and white and although I didn’t like the white version very much the black one looks very good.
Made in Italy by Santini, a cycling clothing manufacturer that has been producing cycling equipment since 1965, the Kines Windbreaker jacket costs 85€, which is around $115.
I think that the best way to answer the comment about reflection is by showing up an image. It’s always better than 1000 words, isn’t it?
