Yes that's right, SRAM have introduced road equipment to their range. Campagnolo or Shimano for years was all you could choose from for your road bike, but now SRAM (who are more famous for their mountain bike kit) have brought out the Force and Rival Road Group sets

My 2008 cannondale six 13 was setup with this group set. I have only ridden for a week now, but i love the double tap. My Giant OCR had 105 groupset which worked very good but again the double tap system to me is much better. Seems to me the Rival has a smoother gear change.

Ok I have used them all Campy (older super record) Shimano Ultegra 105′s. I just bought Sram Force on a Specialized carbon bike. This group set is very good and affordable. Unlike shimano, there is no skimping here. This new kid, on road bikes, is every bit as good as the, names we paid a higher mark up for.

I have the Sram Force group including the Compact Crank 50/34T and a cassette 11-26. Wonder if I can upgrade to the cassette to 11-28.

I just got into cycling after 20 years. I shopped around a bit before purchasing anything. Since I had been ‘out’ for 20 years, even the Shimano tech was new to me. I test rode a couple of bikes, and I liked the way the double tap system works over the Shimano (105/Ultrega) shifters that I tried. Lucky for me, the bike I wanted with SRAM Rival gear went on sale, so I bought it. After 140 miles, I am very happy with my purchase.

I used before Shimano Ultegra and I love it. However, I got I bike with RIVAL and men!
Now SRAM Rival is much better then ULTEGRA and I really LOVE IT.
I had Rival for more then 1 year and is the best of the best.
Now I want to try SRAM RED.

i have had both rival and force the only difference is force is a little lighter and about $100 more expensive. go rival it works just as well.
as for campy it is the best, but you will be spending way more and not getting that much better although thumb shifters are way sweet

I am going to go with SRAM rival because everyone seems to love it, and I like the idea of not having to use the break lever as my shifter, sooner or later I’de probably shift when not meaning or vice versa, plus Rival is 100 grams lighter than Ultegra….
I like the Carbon on the rival break Levers now, nice, I must say though, I really love the look of Ultegra SL, it’s got a rich batmanish flavor to it, it just looks expensive. But I think the important thing is the design, Sram is just more simple and easy to take apart and clean. And they dont tax you to hard on the prices.
