Along the same lines, my polar sensor doesn't read?? The head unit works great, the heart rate works, and the spoke magnet is strong and mounted correctly – but nothing? I'm new to cycling and won't be embarrassed if it's a silly error like "did you hit the on button". Embarassed

Hi markrohovit, welcome to the forum. Thanks for your first post. It could be because you're not on cycling mode. I had a similar problem when purchased my Polar 725x. To make sure you've got the cycling mode active just go to Options -> Speed -> Bike1 -> On Once this is On. Hit the red button. The headset should show you the basic data. In order to select the right bike mode, just hold the bottom right button and change to Bike 1. You'll see some choices….b1(bike 1 seeting) b2 (bike 2 settings) ru (running sensor) and — for inactive sensor. I hope it helps Sam

Thanks, yes it did. Without the speed sensor it couldn't calculate anything to do with speed or mileage – now it almost gives me too much information. But it really helps training in the wind or with rollers where you can really see the speed adjust or in a perfect world your output adjust so that your speed doesn't adjust! Thanks again.Smile

Glad to know you've sorted out the problem. I'm using the same model of Polar….and yes, 725x gives too much info. What I miss is the GPS feature. But it's far cool enough!
