Should Titus upgrade from Shimano Ultegra to Dura Ace?

Titus has 08 Shimano Ultegra on his bike and wants to know if he should upgrade to the top of the Shimano range, Dura Ace? We think if he wants to that's up to him, but we think he should ride the Ultegra until he needs to replace it, and then go for the Dura Ace

Question:
Is it worth it to upgrade from the 08 Ultegra to Dura Ace?

Hi Titus,

Easy answer, no!

The 2008 Shimano Ultegra is very good quality and you would not notice much difference between it and the new Dura Ace. As your 08 Shimano Ultegra wears out then you could replace it as you go along. The Shimano Ultegra is good enough to race on for many of the smaller teams, but we all like to ride the best, so if you can afford to change then go for it, other wise I would wait and replace as you go along.

Save your money and wait till you need to replace you current Ultegra, then go for the Shimano Dura Ace.
