Shimano Ultegra Bottom Bracket

Bruce Hill is looking for a replacement Shimano Ultegra BB-6600 bottom bracket and is having a problem locating one. This shouldn't be a problem as they are still widely available from most bike shops everywhere. It is possible that he wants an up-grade, best he sticks to the proper Shimano bottom bracket

Question:
What is a replacement for an Ultegra BB-6600 english thread 68 x 109 bottom bracket. I can't find any new ones. Octalink interal thread.

Hi Bruce,

I don't really understand your problem, the Shimano Ultegra BB-6600 bottom bracket is still available form many shops and on-line. There is also the Shimano 105 bottom bracket, the BB-6500 which will fit Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 octalink chain sets. Then if you have some money to spend then you could go for a Dura-Ace BB-7700 which is available in 68 x 109 length and with English threads. Have you tried "icyclesusa.com" or "bicyclewarehouse.com". I hope these can help you Bruce?
