Kallia Polichronopoulou lives in Greece and has bought a Specialized SL frame that has an oversized bottom bracket shell. He wants to use a Shimano Dura Ace chain set which has a normal sized bottom bracket and he needs advice on how to get his hands on the adaptors
Question:
Hi! I bought a Specialized sl 2008 with the oversized bottom bracket shell but I decided not to buy the s works crank set too because it is a little bit expensive...and I already had a new Shimano Dura Ace group set. Now I'm trying to find an adapter but it is too difficult because I live at Greece and none can help me. So have you got any idea where I can buy it on-line? Please reply I'm desperate!
Hi Kallia,
Normally the frame only option comes for a normal bottom bracket, but the full bike or the module option has the Specialized chain set, so first make sure that it is the oversized bottom bracket shell.
So if it is then your local Specialized dealer should be able to order the adapters, if not then go to the Specialized web-site and contact them direct at:
customerservice@specialized.com
they should be able to help.
Check out Harris Cyclery and JensonUSA as they both have this sort of handy parts, write to them directly as they have so many parts they cant list all of them. Truvativ also make different adapters for bottom brackets and are sold through many shops. I hope this helps your problem?
