Silver Valovich wants to know about Nishiki bikes, we have some bad news for him and some history on the Nashiki Bike brand that "used" to be from Japan
Question: what company makes the Nashiki NSS beta? What website can i go to see their bicycles?
Hi Silver,
The bad news is that Nishiki doesn't exist anymore. The Nishiki brand name was bought by Derby International to go along with the Raleigh and the Univega brands. Derby stopped manufacturing Nishiki in 2001.
Originally Nishiki were quite popular, but they made a big mistake by selling there bikes through large stores, this alienated the bike shops that also sold their bikes and they never recovered from the loss of many of there dealers.
Sorry, but you can't look anywhere for them on the internet, unless some one has an old one they are selling.

condition. Would like to register it on my insurance records, but can't find the serial number. It's a 21 speed, mountain project, pueblo with the number 4130 printed on the seat tube and front fork. The etched numbers YST 022.2 are on the fork locknut. Made in Taiwan also appears on the frame. Any info??
