Litespeed and Campagnolo Daytona Questions?

Jorge has some collector's items and wants some information. His bike is a Litespeed and his equipment is Campagnolo Daytona, he wants to know which frame he has, but the problem is that the markings have all disappeared. Campagnolo Daytona was a medium priced group set, but it had to change its name because for copy right reasons

Daytona does not exist any more; Campagnolo had to replace Daytona with the Athena group set in 2000. This was because the name "Daytona" was owned by another company, an American motor sport company, so Campagnolo had to avoid the name conflict and change. There is still some Daytona available on e-bay and if you have a look at campyoldy.com you will find some Athena parts and some spare parts.

If you want us to date your Litespeed then we would need more information, have you tried writing to Litespeed with the frame details and the frame number that should be under the bottom bracket shell. The shape of the main tubes also dates the frame as Litespeed used to use round tubes and now use multi shapes. We hope this helps?
