I think the earlier models somewhat better than the latest rendition. I've a Discovery Team model and find its ride more fluid and dare I say "steel-like", than the overly stiff and burly "black" carbon 5.5. I'm 6'1" 245lb, 49 years old, and I thought the overbuilt bottom bracket would suit, but it in fact hurt the quality of the ride. Perhaps the 6.5 "red" rides better...but if you're spending that why not shop around. My advice, try a Ti from Co-Motion, or the Tennessee guys before you buy. Madone’s are great.
