Jay, I had the EXACT same thing happen with my Sportmask shades. I really like this product for biking and running, but used them sparingly for fear they would get messed up.

One of the lens tabs that connect to the ear piece broke after only 20 - 30 uses. I have to say though that RP's customer service was excellent. They replaced my lenses no questions. However, I think it's a design flaw and it will likely happen again. If that's the case, I'm confident RP will apply some kind of credit to the purchase of a different style.

I bought a pair of Sportmask Golf 100 about 2 years back. Used it at most once a month; not for sports but as casual wear. Earlier this year one of my Sportmask's "legs" came off. I noticed that the part of the lens which attaches to the leg was broken. I sent it to the local Rudy Project Service Centre.

They installed a replacement lens for me. 2 months after collecting my Sportmask from the Service Centre, the leg came off again. Same problem as before; the part of the lens which attaches to the leg is broken. Between this unfortunate discovery and the point of collecting my Sportmask from the Service Centre, I did not use it at all.

In any case I am terribly disappointed with the durability/ quality of the Sportmask. As I mentioned, I use for casual wear and use it infrequently. Therefore it has not been subject to any "abuse".

Anyway I have sent the Sportmask to the Service Centre again. Am waiting for a response from Rudy Project.
