The GT ZuM 5.0, What’s it Like?

Herbert Weiss thinks he has found a bargain in the GT Zum 5.0 and yes we thing he has. The price is right and it’s a good looking bike, we have looked at it and its components and we say what we think and suggest what else he could look at

Question: I am looking for a bike to ride around town.

Performance is offering the GT ZuM 5.0 for $260.00.

Would you recommend this bike and can you recommend any others?

For that price I would buy the GT ZuM 5.0, its cool with the single chain wheel and the 8 speed gears, it’s a dam good looking, functional bike that is very reasonably well priced. I’ve looked for some other bikes that are similar and there isn’t any others that have that single chain wheel set, for that matter I don’t think GT make that bike any more either.

The other bikes at that price that we like are; Schwinn Super Sport Road Bike, it has 24 gears and has the same riding position as the GT. Slightly more expensive is the GT Legato 4.0, it has flat handle bars, Shimano gears and “V” Brakes, it’s a good al round reliable bike.

There are a lot of bikes at the same price and if you look hard you will find some with suspension forks and even disk brakes for not much more money, with these added features it opens more opportunities for your riding, think about it before you spend your cash.
