The Lemond Chambery, Is it Good?

Dave is thinking of buying a Lemond 06 Chambery and he’s thinking of doing it soon, he says today! So we’ve had a good look at one and here are our views

Question: I’m thinking about buying a LaMond 06 Chambray. I’d like to know more about them, is it a great bike? Is it comfortable for long distances? I’m not a racer, I just want comfort mostly and a really nice bike. What is your opinion? THANKS!!
I may be buying it today so I need info asap. The price is 1600.

Now I hope this isn’t an impulse buy? I hope you have had a good look at other bikes at the same price and equipment?

The frame has alloy main tubes and carbon forks and rear end, which will make for a comfortable ride, the damping effect of the carbon will see to that. The sloping geometry and the comfortable angles will also help in that department.

Shimano Ultegra 10 speed makes this a very good buy; with Bontrager and Cane Creek you are getting a lot of bike for your money. I think it would be difficult to find anything better. Can you get a test ride first? I think if you go ahead and buy the Lemond Chambery you will not be disappointed, if it was up to me I would go for it. Let us know how you get on.
