The Lazer Blade helmet is the one that Olympic champion, Paulo Bettini and 2005 World road champion, Tom Boonen wear, but you could wear the same helmet as the stars, but is it worth he money? Is it comfortable? And most importantly does it look good?

On The Outside
The helmet its self is made of polystyrene foam and has a hard shell of plastic in five parts, it has a comfortable feel and is light at only 290 grms, so its very safe and you soon forget you have it on. Lazer use a system they call RBS, this is a Rigidity Bracing System and means there is internal bracing so you have a cage around your head, which gives multi impact protection, you can see parts of this cage where its exposed at the front and back.
Ventilation is through 16 large vents on the top and sides, so no over-heating on the climbs, and the shape allows you to wear a cap under it.
On The Inside

On the inside you have washable Coolmax padding that comes in two sizes to take up any odd shape you might have to your head. At the back you have an adjuster with a mini ratchet for micro adjustment, the straps are internal, but the anchor points are on the outside, not a problem, but you don?t usually see this on expensive helmets. Nice strap adjusters for under the ears and the under chin clip is much like all the others.
