Fezzari Fore CR2, Good or Bad?

Frank has seen a carbon bike on internet from Fezzari, the Fore CR2. He wants our thought on the bike and its equipment and the value for money. He also has a problem that it is an internet only company; we give him our views on that also

Question: HI I would like to ask a question about a company called fezzari.com they have a road bike called the Forte Cr2. Can you give me some help, what do you think about this bike? It’s an internet company only no dealers?

Hi Frank,
First we will talk about the bike. Full carbon frame and has not been painted, so you can see the workmanship on the carbon, it looks well made and only time will tell how durable it will be. The frame design looks to make the bike sure and responsive with correct angles and frame tubes for a no nonsense bike ride.

The equipment is also very good, Shimano Ultegra 10 speed group set with FSA Gossamer Megaexo chain set and Shimano wheels, the other bits and pieces are Fezzari’s own brand; the saddle, seat post, stem and handle bars are all good looking stuff. Now the price has been cut to $1,499 which is unbelievably cheap, it comes in five sizes and we think it’s a god buy.

What is the problem with an internet only shop? We can’t see any, especially one like Fezzari who seem to take time in design, marketing and manufacture. Their web site is also very well built, and shows their commitment to their bikes. Fezzari use some of the best equipment available, Shimano, Mavic, Maxxis and many other top class manufacturers, which shows they know what they are doing. Their site is safe for payments and it looks like they are the sort of people you can trust. Shops are as likely to sell you some thing bad by mail order as an internet shop. There are not many cases of this happening, as you have many guarantees; if you use your Credit Card then you also have an extra safety net, so I shouldn’t worry.

This is a good bike at a wonderful price; if they have one that is the correct size then I would seriously consider buying one. There are a lot of carbon bikes around but not at this price. Go for it Frank and enjoy your bargain.
