Look Pedals and Clips
Robin is thinking about changing his pedals, he’s looking at LOOK and he wants our opinion on carbon handlebars, should he spend his hard earned cash?
I was thinking of getting look pedals and clips , I use spd clips now is there a big difference?
Also what about carbon handelbars are they worth the price

I had better say now that LOOK pedals are my favourite, I’ve tried nearly all other pedal systems and they have come out tops for me, the main difference you’ll notice between your SDP’s is that I found the LOOK cleat is easier to get into and out of the pedals.
Also when the cleat is located in the pedal I feel that the pedals hold the cleat level, where as with the SPD’s I found my foot lifted on the inside or outside, so the position of my foot was sometimes wrong.
The other problems I noticed was the chance of small stones getting caught in the SPD cleat, this doesn’t seem to happen with LOOK also the clip on the pedal can be damaged making it difficult to get in and out.
As for carbon handlebars, personally I would think seriously about it before you part with your money.

They are light, they come in different shapes and are strong, but you have to be careful if you have a crash they can be easily damaged and the fibre can unravel, then you will have to throw them away.
There are some beautiful bars out there, but its up to you in the end!
