Cannondale and Trek Sport Road Bikes
Jeff has a shot list of road bikes he’d like to buy, he needs to know our opinion if he has missed anything else nice that might take his fancy!
I’m a 46 yo weekend warrier in pretty good shape and want to buy a sport road bike. I have narrowed down the choices to the Cannondale SR500 or possibily the trek pilot 1.2.
What would you reccomend? Is there a bike that I have overlooked? Thanks Jeff
Hello Jeff,
Let me say I like your choices of the Cannondale and the Trek; these are two tasty bits of kit to go out at the weekend and give those roads a battering!
Maybe you will go out a bit more than just on Saturday and Sunday? I dont think it matters what age you are and if you don’t ride too much, Ive spent thousands on bikes and a nice bike to ride every day or once a month is a great pleasure in life, although justifying the cost to the wife can be tricky.
Others you should look at are Lemond Bikes and Giant, also it might be a good idea to ask your local bike shop if they can make up a bike for you, then you can have a choice of equipment, like saddle and handlebars, then of course you have more decisions to take!
